Cravinga is a fast and exciting way to discover local food wherever you are. You can search for dishes based on your specifications, show off your own pictures, and let others know how that food tasted.

Due to the nature of our services, you will of course be sharing some information with Cravinga. But fear not! Cravinga knows that you value your privacy and therefore we do too. Our Privacy Policy will let you know about the information we collect and how it is used so that you can feel confident when using our service. Your (“you,” “your”) privacy is important to us at Cravinga, Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Cravinga”), and we want to be as transparent about the kinds of information we collect, who we will and will not share this information with, what choices you have, what we’re doing to protect your information and what you can do, when and why we update this policy.

Information We Get Automatically When You Use Our Services

We collect information about which of those services you’ve used and how you’ve used them while you use Cravinga in order to make our service more enjoyable for you. We might know, for instance, that you left negative comments or reviews on a certain dish and make it aware to the restaurant (keeping your name private from the restaurant) that they should improve those dishes in order to better serve their customers. Here’s a more detailed explanation of the types of information we collect when you use our services:


Information You Choose to Give Us

When you interact with our services, we collect the information that you choose to share with us. For example, most of our services require you to set up a basic Cravinga account, so we need to collect a few important details about you: a unique username you’d like to go by, a password, an email address, a phone number, and your date of birth. To make it easier for others to find you, we may also ask you to provide us with some additional information that will be publicly visible on our services, such as profile pictures, a name, or other useful identifying information. Other services, such as those that allow you to deliver food, may also require you to enter into payment plans to us through PayPal or Stripe. We do not directly collect or store any payment information at this time. These Terms of Service do not cover third parties’ handling of personal information, so if you use these third party services, be sure to review their terms of service and privacy policies. Many of our services require us to collect images and other information from your device’s camera and photos. We’ll never access the camera or photos unless you give us your consent to do so. In order to discover local dishes, you can opt into sharing your mobile device’s location by accepting the appropriate permission or prompt. In order to find friends who have registered for Cravinga, you can optionally upload contact information from your mobile device by using this feature through our app (if provided) and accepting the appropriate request for permission or prompt. We do not store this information, and never associate it with your account or other personal information. And, of course, when you contact Cravinga support or communicate with us in any other way, we’ll collect whatever information you volunteer.

Information We Collect from Third Parties


We may collect information that other users provide about you when they use our services. For example, if another user allows us to collect information from their device phonebook—and you’re one of that user’s contacts—we may combine the information we collect from that user’s phonebook with other information we have collected about you. We may also obtain information from other third-party sources and combine that with the information we collect through our services.

Through these TOS and our Community Guidelines, we make clear that we do not want the Services put to bad uses. But because we do not review all content, we cannot guarantee that content on the Services will always conform to our TOS or Guidelines.

How We Use Information

Although we welcome Cravinga users from all over the world, keep in mind that no matter where you live or where you happen to use our services, you consent to us processing and transferring information in and to the United States and other countries whose data-protection and privacy laws may offer fewer protections than those in your home country.

Information You Choose to Share with Third Parties


The services may also contain third-party links, include third-party integrations or be a co-branded or third-party-branded service that’s being provided jointly with or by another company. By going to those links, using the third-party integration, or using a co-branded or third-party-branded service, you may be providing information (including personal information) directly to the third party, us, or both. You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for how those third parties collect or use your information. As always, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of every third-party website or service that you visit or use, including those third parties you interact with through our services.

Shared Pictures


Cravinga allows you to discover what you’re craving through mouthwatering images of food. By uploading your pictures to Cravinga, you are aware that your pictures will be viewed by others you may not know personally. By uploading your pictures to Cravinga, you are giving Cravinga the permission to show your photos to other Cravinga users.

Choice and Control over Your Information


We want you to be in control of your information, so we let you update or correct most of your basic Cravinga account information by editing your account settings within the app. Occasionally we may ask you to verify your identity or provide additional information before we let you update your information. And if you later change your mind about our ongoing ability to collect information from certain sources that you have already consented to, such as your phonebook, camera, photos, or location services, you can simply revoke your consent by changing the settings on your device if your device offers those options. Of course, if you do that, certain services may lose full functionality. And while we hope you’ll remain a lifelong Cravinga user, if for some reason you ever want to delete your account, just go here.

Email Usage


If you choose to provide your email address to Cravinga by creating an optional account or otherwise choosing to provide it to us, we will use it only to send communications directly from or related to the service, such as:
You can opt out of any automated notifications or communications sent by the service by following the instructions included with each email, however Cravinga employees, contractors, or agents may still need to contact you personally, for example, if you are in violation of our Terms of Service.

Analytics and Advertising Services Provided by Others


We may let other companies use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies on the services. These companies may collect information about how you use the services and other websites and online services over time and across different services. This information may be used to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, and better understand your online activity.

Additionally, some companies may use the information they collect on our services to deliver targeted advertisements on behalf of us or other companies, including on third-party websites and apps. Cravinga does not currently respond to do-not-track signals that may be sent from your device. If we do so in the future, we will provide information about that practice in an updated version of this privacy policy. Children


We don’t direct our Services to anyone under 13. And that’s why we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Storing and Protecting Information


Personal Information is transmitted to and stored by Cravinga using industry-standard methods for each type of information. Our databases and servers are protected from unauthorized access using modern security and authentication methods such as passwords and access keys.

No method of transmitting or storing data can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, however. While we endeavor to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee that it will not be viewed, tampered with or intercepted by an unauthorized third party. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of your personal information.

We will notify you by email if we have reason to believe that your personal information has been compromised due to a security breach or used in an unauthorized manner, but by using this service, you agree to release us from any and all claims arising out of unauthorized use of your information. We may change this privacy policy from time to time. But when we do, we’ll let you know one way or another.
